Bared To You Book Review

Bared to You (Crossfire, #1)Author: Sylvia Day
Series: Crossfire
Star Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

I will begin by saying that I did not like 50 Shades of Gray at all. I felt the writing was juvenile. When this was recommended to those who love 50 Shades of Gray I was skeptical and sat on buying it for a long while. I know that Sylvia Day is a seasoned writer. This is the first book of hers that I have read. That is what she had going for her and what made me decide I was going to read it.

I have to say I enjoyed this book. I really like how the characters are well developed and the background stories are actually there. The words are not just thrown on a page. I also like how the characters sound grown up rather than as if they were still in middle school not knowing what to do with their sexuality.

Eva is a strong female who has a painful past and has a hard time trusting others. However when she loves she loves to the fullest extent. She does stuff I don't agree with especially in certain situations she should know could have happened. Instead of walking out a door she could have used her words instead of her feet to do the talking. I wanted to slap her certain parts and in others I wish I could have hugged and been her friend.

Gideon, Gideon, Gideon. Sexy Tall, Dark and Dangerous. This man is full of seduction, danger, possessiveness  passion, and demons. What i mean by demons is that he as well has a painful past. I love this man. I felt a connection to him. When something was revealed in the book I wanted to cry for him. To love him and take away his pain.

I have to make another comparison. Unlike 50 Shades of Gray this story actually focuses on the characters and not the DOM/SUB story. Heck, that isn't even really revealed till the last six or seven chapters. The sex is hot in the book but again not the main story. To me the main story is how these two damaged souls can learn to trust one another and grow together. This is what makes the book great.

I recommend this book. If you have not read this book, read this book and skip 50 shades of Gray. This one will take you to new heights. Not to mention the banter between Gideon and Eva is hilarious.

Happy Reading!

Drive me Wild Review

Drive Me Wild (The Others, #7)Author: Christine Warren
Series: The Others book 14(in publication order)
Star Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Lets see.... This book picks up after On the Prowl however the characters from On the Prowl are never mentioned. We do get to see characters from the previous books. We definitely see more of Missy and Graham.

We meet Tess the owner of a spice and herb store which also does palm readings. We have met her in previous books if you have been reading them as they come out. If you are new to the series then welcome to the wonderful world of The Others. Then there is the amazing Rafael De Santos. Dark Sexy and Dangerous Alpha of The Others Council.

Those of us who have been following this series have been wondering how these two met and how the cemented their bond together. The way they come together is great completely hilarious as well.

"Fear prodded her into temper."eaten many humans, have you?" She felt his mouth shift into a grin. "A few here an there." He paused. Nuzzled. Purred softly," want me to eat you?" Page 20 of Drive me Wild by Christine Warren

This is where I completely fell for Rafe. I love his and Tess's banter. Its wonderful.

I recommend this book. It's hilarious, has tender moments, moments of anger, love and hot sex. Not to mention the Hero is to drool over....

Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban Review

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Harry Potter, #3)Author: J.K. Rowling
Series: Harry Potter (book 3)
Star Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars

I enjoyed this book. Just another mystery with Harry Potter and friends. Throughout the book we learn so much regarding the other characters. Especially regarding Hagrid, Sirius Black, Snape, Professor Lupin, James Potter and Peter Pettigrew and the night that Harry's parents were killed.

In this book we learn so much more than in the movies. So much that I did not see in the movie ties everything up in the books. In the movie we did not really get the whole back story regarding Peter Pettigrew and Sirius Black. Not to mention we lean who created Mauders Map.

We get the laugh's, happiness, frustration, and achievements as all the previous books. I highly recommend reading this book.

FINALE(book 4) Book Review

Finale (Hush, Hush, #4)Author: Becca Fitzpatrick
Series: HUSH HUSH
Star Rating: 4 out of 5

First off, I want to say I love when authors know when a certain series has a beginning and an end. There are some series particularly in the YA genre that don't know when to end a series and the same thing happens in every single book after a particular book where it could have been the perfect ending. Then there are authors who have planned and know when the series will end. This series falls into the later.

I am very happy with the ending to the book. I ties up many loose ends, reveals who certain characters are and then we have some sad loses as well. I feel if this series didn't have an ending I don't know if I could have kept reading and dealing with Nora. Yes, she was left with a huge task and her life on the line in the last book but hell she is just flat out annoying.

My favorite part of this book would have to be the last forty pages or so. We finally get to see Nora suck up her inner child and finally become an adult and make adult situations. We also get to see Patch finally learn to fully trust Nora and a few other characters as well.

All in all I am glad this series ended the way it did. It doesn't leave you wondering if there will mysteriously be another book. That makes me happy. I suggest for many of you who are questioning about reading this book because you have something such as Nora's attitude or Patch's attitude standing in the way, push it a side and read it. It's a wonderful conclusion to the story and honestly I don't feel it disappoints.

Happy reading!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Review

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Harry Potter, #2)Author J.K. Rowling
Series: Harry Potter book 2
Star Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

I will not be writing a normal review regarding this book seeing how it is pointless. Either everyone's read it or they haven't. Like my other review for the first book I will just compare it with the movie.

I love the movies, I have seen them so many times it's insane. However, now that I am finally reading the books I can finally piece together the parts that are missing in the movies. This is great because with the movies there are just little things that were missing to tie up the who's and why's to certain parts. Such as how Hermoine became petrified. Yes we know that she was looking for a clue and that was the piece of paper in her hand or they they drank the polyjuice potion. In the movie they never really cleared up how she turned back to human. Just little things or how they came across the petrified cat. yes they were walking down the hall but we didn't really know what they were doing in the book know.

I am enjoying the books and I love the little details of the world. I definitely urge those who are a fan of the movies but who have not read the books to do so. It will completely fill those gaps in the movie.

Happy reading!

Cry Wolf(alpha omega graphic novel) Review

Alpha and Omega: Cry Wolf (Alpha and Omega Graphic Novel, Vol 1)Author: Patricia Briggs
Adapter: David Lawrence
Illustrator: Jordan Gunderson

Series: Alpha & Omega Graphic novel
Star rating out of 5: 3 stars

I love this book series. When I heard they were making it into a graphic novel I was excited. I already fell in love with The Mercedes Thompson Graphic novels and book series I thought that this would be just a great. However I was a bit disappointed.

The adaption was great it followed the book along great. The cover artwork is amazing. I feel it captures how I saw Anna perfectly. However when it actually came to the story telling artwork that's when I felt the artwork was a bit juvenile. It was nowhere near a well done as the Mercedes Thompson artwork. I know its a different illustrator but however I thought they would have been able to find someone on the same scale. The characters don't look anywhere near how I imagined them. They look very unattractive. Trust they can make characters very good looking in comics/graphic novels. I will say this though it wasn't too bad I just hope the art progresses in the next one.

Despite the artwork downfall I still recommend it if you are a fan of the books. It's nice to see some of the scenes come to life.
